in no particular order and because I’m a compulsive list-maker, some things I’d like to accomplish in the next year:

  1. complete a half-marathon (training began 5.14.2011 for the Rock ‘N’ Roll Savannah Half…here goes nothing!) (11.5.11: 2 hrs, 43 mins, $1,850+ raised, and the greatest accomplishment in 24 years.)
  2. bake a pie from scratch (11.23.2011. Pumpkin and apple. Though Beth gets more credit for the apple)
  3. go see a movie solo (5.15.2011 - Atlanta Ballet; 6.12.2011 - Mumford & Sons at The Fox) [these totally count]
  4. save a substantial amount of cash for a rainy day (aka quit spending my savings)
  5. attend an Atlanta Hawks game (the only Atlanta sports team I have yet to see [RIP Thrashers])
  6. pay the 400 toll for the person behind me (6.27.11 & was feeling particularly nice after a client meeting)
  7. train for a triathlon
  8. go on a roadtrip (4.25.2011 Memphis, TN for the Beale St. Music Festival)
  9. learn to play ONE song on the guitar I’ve owned for 13+ years
  10. create a work of art
  11.  win a tennis match  (3.25.2011)
  12. send handwritten cards to 20 different people
  13. adopt an organization….a charity, NPO, something I can own up to (2011 is the year of Team In Training via the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society…. see #1)
  14. get into the habit of reading (and reread some books from high school summer reading lists)
  15. dress up for Halloween - and make it awesome
  16. go on a blind date (12.1.11, ahem.)
  17. hike Stone Mountain or Kennesaw Mountain or some other small nature hike
  18. watch and read all 7 Harry Potters (nerdalert)
  19. attend another music festival (9.24.11, Music Midtown!)
  20. have something industry-related published (9.12.11: big time.)
  21. purchase a piece of furniture (I’m officially old + boring…. and I love it)
  22. find a Catlanta (12.10.11, !!!!!!!)
  23. get a passport and plan for Claire’s Grand Adventure 2012 (India, Europe, or Greece. or all of the above?)
  24. somehow become the owner of an iPad (preferably without purchasing and and even MORE preferably via a legal means of procurement).
